One of my girlfriend has recently been promoted and suggested celebratory dinner on her, together with another girlfriend.

YEAH to the promotion!

YEAH to the dinner treat!

YEAH to a girls night out finally! (which has been long overdue for the three of us)

None of us have tried Lollapalooza located at Keong Saik Street and so we decided to give it a try after checking out its menu online. More on that later.  This restaurant’s name is a mouthful and a quick check reveals that it is actually a slang for something extraordinary.  Just like how some of the menu items are named.

Its menu changes from time to time based on fresh produce but here are some signature dishes whose names are not for the faint hearted 🙂 such as Pig’s Brain Fri􏰀tters with Herbed Rico􏰀tta, Braised Tuna Eye with Salsa Verde, Corned Veal Tongue (which we finally settled for after much debate!). Here is how it looked… literally the entire tongue in our face!

Everything on the menu is for sharing, which was great for the trio as we wanted to try as many items as we could that night.  Here are the rest of the other gorgeous looking dishes we ordered, which had safer names 🙂

No celebration is complete without a bubbly drink to toast with.  We ended up with not one but TWO bottles!

And no dinner with the girls is complete without some yummy desserts.

Overall, the food was only passable and failed to impress our taste buds, though tentalizing in concepts and presentation.  Regardless, it was a totally enjoyable dinner with so much to chat about.
