I recently bought this sleeveless blouse from a little local boutique The Underground. I was just going about my own business when this striped piece hanging at eye level caught my attention.
It is what everything I need in this freaking hot humid weather – sleeveless, light weight material, goes well with shorts… comfortable to the max. I particularly love the way it flares out with a pleat in the middle that makes an otherwise dull striped top a little more girly.
Walked in and out of the shop within 10 minutes.
Happy with my find.
Just last week, I was sharing about this skirt from Taiwan which I adore and that I bought two of it in different prints. Not wanting to neglect the other one, I took it out for a ride 🙂
Top: No, don’t be fooled. It is a one-piece that looks like a a two-piece. I like the comfortable material and the subtle puffed sleeves that helps frame up my shoulders.
Bottom: The other printed light weight rayon skirt from Taiwan
Feeling a little girly today so I paired up one of my dark coloured top with this skirt which many commented as… well… interesting. I do hope they mean it as “pretty” more than “weird”! Haha…
The gathers at the bottom are a result of little strings that are tied up from underneath the skirt. Alternatively, they can be untied to just let it fall as a normal skirt. However, I have been wearing it like this all the time because I simple love the way it bounces weightlessly around my legs as I move around! It is a happy skirt 🙂
Top: Navy blue knitted top with silky ribbon on left shoulder from Mango
Bottom: Printed light weight rayon skirt from a Taiwan night market (the lady boss told me they were handmade in India. I fell in love with the design and comfort at first sight and bought two with different prints)
It is one of those weekends when I have to toggle between the merciless hot sun and the equally merciless freezing mall (I really think there is no need to waste so much energy on freezing us mortals).
So on goes my cardigan over my camisole. Now I am ready for the merciless temperature extremes!
Top: White camisole from Uniqlo, long open cardigan in black with white trimming (from Taiwan)
Bottom: Blue skinny pants from Uniqlo
Black used to me my go to colour during my days working in corporate sales. It was a no-brainer on days when I simply had neither time nor appetite for being adventurous. Now that I no longer in the corporate world, I find myself distancing from black. However, there are still some pieces which I adored and casual enough to be part of my current lifestyle. I just need to pair them up with something bright to give them a new lease of life 🙂
Top: Black Puffed sleeves knitted top with bow on shoulder from Espirit
Bottom: Pink Shorts from Uniqlo (not very well-ironed!)
This must be the oddest combination I have been experimenting with to date. What I tried putting together was a top, which I used to wear with pencil skirts or formal pants for work, and my old maternity shorts (shhh...). I guess it turned out borderline fine 🙂
Top: Green long sleeves blouse GG<5
Bottom: Maternity shorts from MUG+
This is one of those pull-over that doesn’t even feel like one – it is light-weight and comfy enough to run between in-doors and out-doors on days that are at least not scorching hot. Not being a fan of lackluster grey outfits in general , this two-tone grey seems to work well with a few of my brighter coloured bottoms and this being one of them.
Top: Two-tone grey pull over from Cotton On
Bottom: Skinny pants from Uniqlo
After procrastinating for weeks, I finally had my long curls chopped off. A good 5-6 inches according to the hairdresser. On one hand, I am glad that my head feels lighter in this crazy weather but at the same time, I kind of missed my good old curls.
Anyway, I am in white and blue again! I am either getting lazy with my outfit or this combination simply works and makes me feel happy.
Top: White blouse from Gap
Bottom: Dark blue jeans from Uniqlo
